Best laid plans....
I thought my plan for visiting people on the way up to Skipnorth was going well, an afternoon at Colinette, with an evening with friends. Then visiting family and friends the following day, with then a short drive (relatively) to Yorkshire on Friday.
Sounded like a brilliant plan, seeing all the people I needed to in one hit. But the best laid plans and all that - a very old family friend has been ill for ages and it seems that he will not last much longer. So last night was more talk of funerals and what his wife needs to do when things happen. It also means I might not get to go out with her for lunch, but might end up at a hospital bedside instead, or doing more talking to undertakers. With a bit of luck the timings will work and it wont mess up Skipnorth weekend, but I do have a feeling that I will have to go up to Liverpool for a second visit very soon after the first.
When I started my Death and Dying course I didn't realise that I would have to do so much practical stuff as well as my course work (if only I could get marks for it as well as my assignments...) So think of me this week trying to write my next essay on the not nice subject of euthanasia whilst remembering the past happy times and those who are no longer around to remember it with me.
And some good plans, so I dont end up depressing everyone out there too much... the Sues are off to Woolfest, I've managed to remember to phone the youth hostel and book our beds, so there is nothing stopping us now !!! Yippeee :-))
