Not the day I planned
I think I ate something that didn't like me yesterday :-(
I've been asleep for most of the day. The plans for taking photos didn't happen...
I have been watching ITV3 this afternoon, please can someone tell me why anyone would want to buy Auntie Bessie's mashed potato ?

I'm afraid I have no idea what Aunt Bessie's mashed potato is (other than presumably mashed potato) so can't help you as to why anyone would want it.
Hope you are feeling better soon. My other half is feeling grotty today too, but so far (crossed fingers) I haven't succombed
I was given a voucher for some Auntie Bessie's mash, I wouldn't recommend it!
The only positive use for it I've ever found was in a chocolate cake recipe - sounds weird but it worked - think it was one of Delia's cheats

Ha! I am with the Smash Martians, not Aunt Bessie.
We were infant slaves to marketing: how we begged, yes begged for instant mash, rather than real mashed potatoes when I was small! Probably to my mother's utter disgust!
It was a real treat (and tasted nothing like real mashed potatoes).
Occasionally when I am really ill or hard up, I dig the (usually out of date) packet from the back of my cupboard, then see if I have any butter, milk, black pepper and/or frozen sweetcorn to add to it.
Now that's comfort food.
